All else fails, use dynamite.

Little more details on what you going for and you'll get plenty of help.

Sorry. Fresh water. I can see huge bluegill, crappie, and bass swimming around the light. Use common live bait, and plastics.

Small blue and white crappie jigs, fish on the outside edge of the light, not in the middle where the fish can inspect the bait...

Fish green lights often at night and have had same struggles using traditional bass tackle. I have had most success with longpole tighlining favorite sac-a-lait jigs tipped with a crappie nibble. Nothing better than targeting all species and having great fight. Only problem, some dudes have too much pride to fish with a longpole. Good luck!

Chrome rattle trap or 6-8ft crank bait is the go-to around here.

Have seen guys use spinner baits and top water also.

I fish with three of them attached to a dock. The only bites I get are on the outskirts of the light, I've never caught anything when fishing directly in the light.

Sounds like me. We have 3 along the dock, and I have luck on the edge of the light. But I know some guy has a technique that catches the monsters around the light. V
