Fishing in my neighborhood pond that is stocked with bream, catfish, and bass. Tried a few casts with a small beetle spin but no luck. What do y'all suggest to try?

I would have suggested beetle spin but since that didn't work, I say Banjo Minnow.

Crickets and night crawlers.

Big redworms. You have the possibility of catching all 3 species every cast.

Want to stick to artificial bait.

Cork, small sinker, and a kernel of corn. Bream will kill it! Bass, probably top water chug, right at dark! Good luck!

Sorry. I misread that as bait.

Slow the beetle spin down or speed it up.
A beetle spin will catch anything and everything. What size are you using? Try a different color. Also try a rooster tail.

I caught about a 4 pound choupic on a beetle spin on an ultra light one day.
Good times.

I would say its a small one. Hook radius is about a 1/4"
Thanks for the input...I'm lucky to fish once a year out of a boat so I'm just doing this for fun and to learn a few things.

Did you stay in one place or move around the pond ?

honestly, I would go and buy a cheap fly rod and some dry and wet flies that mimic food sources in the area (i.e. grasshoppers, wolly worms, ants, etc.)...most fun you will ever have...

If theres not too many weeds, try a black/chartreuse or blue/white jig under a cork

triple tail grub with a jig spinner

A small H&H spinner in chartreuse and white would work and its hard to fish those wrong.
