Bream can be found pretty much anywhere in that lake.

Never fished there but i know that area has tons of guides.

Bass fishing should be picking up soon with weather warming up

Fished late spring and early summer. very diverse fishery. Smallmouth on deeper flats, bass early on a shad spawn and flipping the creeks for largemouth all in the same trip.

I have fished it several times and fish couple other White River Lakes a ton, should be hitting it at the perfect time. Are you bringing a boat? If so paralleling 45 degree banks in creeks with Wiggle Wart and Rock Crawler should be ticket. If not back off with Ned Rig, which I love for the kids to throw because its so easy. Bluff ends leading into spawning pockets are usually key areas, but they might be further back depending on weather. Getting a guide for a day is always best.

I fished it for the first time this past October. Caught a ton of fish but size was hard to come by. I ran wayyyy up the James River and found dirty water and caught all my fish on a chatterbait, frog, and buzzbait.

My buddies that stayed closer and fished the clear water caught a ton on Wiggle Warts and RK Crawlers. A few on shaky heads and finesse jigs.

I had the opportunity to bass fish on Table Rock one day. I didn’t have a guide and was with my brother in law in his boat and he couldn’t catch a fish in a bathtub. However he let me pick the spots I caught several decent fish and several more that didn’t meet the length requirement which I believe is 15 inches The main thing is that place is beautiful, you will enjoy your time on Table Rock.

I did, but it's been about 15 years ago. I do remember them only using plastic props on the rentals. There is one area of the lake where you go from 100' deep to 1-2' real quick when your still a couple hundred yards from shoreline.

We stayed at Big Cedar Lodge about 5 years ago and my wife got me a half day guided trip for our anniversary, I had never fished with a guide but the one I had would cause me to think hard before using a guide again. I don’t remember his name and he may not still be there but it was a waste of $400. We barely got out of site of the marina and you could tell the guy couldn’t care less about whether we caught fish or not. We only fished 3 small points and I finally put the rod he started me out with down and told him I wanted to throw a Carolina rig, he acted like he didn’t want to rig one but I caught the only two dinks of the day within about 30 minutes.
If I ever go back there, I’ll just rent a boat and ease around and take my chances without a guide. The launch near Big Cedar had a lot of guides but my wife didn’t know a name to ask for and just booked a half day trip, when you do that, you might get an independent guide, someone that doesn’t really work for the lodge but fills in as a guide when the lodge is booked heavy, that’s what I got and he was worthless.

Call Bill Babler at White River Outfitters. Best on the lake, or you could try Pete Wenners. Pete has a weekly YouTube fishing report that is very informative. I’ve been going up there every year for the past 22 years. I’ve never hired a guide, but I do know those two are very respected. Also, check out ozarkanglers.com. They always give good info.

Capt Rick Lapoint trust me. I liked him so much we meet him in Wisconsin for trophy smallmouth every couple of years. When it comes to graph fishing you will learn A LOT.
