It's not an issue if someone comes in slow and trolls in to fish the same flock of birds, or the same rig. Just don't spook the fish and don't get too close, especially right away. Make a lap around the rig and try and find some fish in a different spot. If nothing, it's ok to position yourself to fish in the water next to me.
Exactly.
We passed on a few schools of fish because there were boats already fishing them. it just blew my mind how stupid the guy was. not only did he mess up our fishing, he messed it up for him too. I believe it was a guide who didnt catch shite all day and was trying to salvage the trip.
it was an old blue predator style bay boat.

I understand it can be frustrating sometimes but why not have a little patience for people who might not get to be out on the water as much as you and may not know all of the unwritten rules. Instead of cussing somebody for a faux pas they unknowingly made and ruin their day of fishing, why not take the time to talk to them and let them know what they did wrong instead, maybe give them a few fishing tips, instead of making them think you are an a-hole and still not knowing what they did wrong. Fishing is supposed to be a time of relaxing, not water rage.

and make sure they don't post exact locations on message boards or facebook for everyone and their mom, because then it spreads faster than staph.

everyone knows driving over fish will scare them. Before we started yelling, we put our hands up and waved him away. after he was in throwing distance, we told him what he was doing wrong. If he cant figure out the "what the f*** are you doing, stare, Hand wave, and shoulder move" he shouldnt have a boat.

This is why I stick to redfish ponds, really don't have to worry about this.
Starting to have to worry about it in redfish ponds too, especially with the growing popularity of tower boats and skiffs.
The worst is bringing friends fishing to a spot that's pretty "secret" to you, then going fishing later only to see he/she is back there with other dudes in his/her boat.
That's about the extent of my rant. My own damn fault I guess
eta: @angry - it really doesn't make me "angry" I don't think. I just don't see the point of it. 90% of the fun in fishing for me is and has always been finding fish. Catching fish is awesome, don't get me wrong, but you really didn't do a whole lot if you just go fish with someone, go back to their spot, and catch fish without them. Catching and killing is the easy part.
