Worked about 25 hours over a 3 day span with my dad clearing fence row off. Had to bring a tractor over to bush hog, saw to cut trees off of fence, sling blade, and poisoned. What would you guys charge?

So 600 for the labor and factor diesel, gas, and poison in?

$20/hr each, plus $250/day for the tractor.

That would be a family deal.

Wait, how much did you get cleared? I know some folks that can work 25 hours and not finish digging a hole for a mailbox.

Cleared about a 1/4 mile on the fence.

So that works out to $450 in money for labor for 2 guys working three 8 hour days. Plus all the equipment you used, fuel, wear and tear of said equipment and then poison to kill off things.

So, if I have done the math right, you and your dad cleared that quarter mile of fence line at a rate of just over $.34 a ft. If your lazy cousin has a problem with that, tell him to pound sand and do it himself next time.

That is bargain basement pricing, even for a relative.

Around here tractor time - bushhogging - will run you about $45-60 / per hour. Around $20/hour for the extra man.

well you should have established prices beforehand if you wanted him to pay you. Now it's going to be hard to go to him for 70$ an hour, which is what I would have commanded at the minimum.

but I also figure that into the total price so I'm not telling someone $100 an hour, I tell them a price for the whole thing. I'm clearing a bunch of bushes so some people can install a fence next week on a small yard for $350 and it's prbably going to take me 2 hours

Good for him!!! You young whippersnappers don't know how to take good care of cherished tools...……

Damn, that's a long time coaching. On what level? High school, college, youth league??

That's great. I imagine over that length of time he touched the lives of thousands of young kids and his induction into the hall of fame acknowledges his contribution.

Good on him.

There was a coach we had at football all stars from Brookhaven academy, don’t recall his name, was in ‘93-94 he was probably 35-40 at that time, stocky dude about 5-10 or so. Probably too young to be your old man? Was a good dude though.

Herbert Davis Jr, daddy coached him, he's the head man at MRA. Great guy has calmed down from the days when he coached you in 94.
