Nothing for deer. Camphouse is close and usually stay in the stand or shooting house no more than two hours. For turkeys if I’m going to be out all morning a couple of keto bars and water.

If I am making an afternoon hunt and driving from work or my house I would stop at a gas station about 20 minutes from my lease and pick up a scoop of chicken cracklings, a pickle and 2 low sugar body armors. Without my gall bladder there were several occasions where I had to see a man about a wallaby last season. Probably ruined a few of my hunts.

I was always too busy spraying baccer juice to eat LOL

Tobacco free now… might bring me a wheelbarrow full of cheeseburgers to kill the urge.

Not much brings out the urge like sitting in the deer stand.

I'm on the same train. Fortunately the closes convenience store is about 30 min down the road and I don't take any to the camp anymore. Doesn't mean the urge isn't there.

Morning hunts I take coffee and a protein bar.

Big breakfast after the hunt.

Bourbon, tequila or beer in the evening hunt.

Cook something good after the sun sets. Usually steak.

I always wake up an hour before I’m heading out so the coffee moment happens at the camp and not a mad dash to a tree right at shooting time.

I get venison snack sticks made every year specifically for taking to the stand. I prestock all the blinds with a couple of bottles of Kentwood, and carry one out with me. Otherwise, the bags of various snack mixes from Walgreens in the afternoon and Poptarts in the AM

Austin or Lance peanut butter on cheese crackers or Toast Chee. Always unwrap and stack them in the corner when setting up so I don't make noise later.

Ozarka bottle of booze and an empty for pissing in. Dispose before leaving so not to get confused the next morning.

the official OB stand/blind morning snack is the honey bun.

Deer stand yes. Duck blind on a freezing morning means bourbon shots and a cigarette

Even if i were to get hungry, I cannot imagine calling that feeling terrible. I actually like to be hungry now that I think about it.

My stomach grumbles so loud it scares off the deer. Eating is strategy
