Just saw Academy was selling a Hevi-Shot box of 10 3-1/2" shells for $52.99

Who the hell is buying this???

That is just over $5 bucks a shot.

Or a 5 box deal?

Damn, if that's really $50 for 10 shells, time to start reloading!

Is that Turkey loads? If so that’s about right probably. With tss and other heavier than lead loads the shite has got expensive.

It's by far my favorite shot but I've never tried hevi-shot.

This is a mix of hevi shot and hevi metal.

Not everyone wants to shoot a +$1.50 rd loads. Birds always drop for me with these

Tungsten is awesome. Ive killed a few turkeys with TSS last year and the performance it showed on paper and in the field was incredible. I actually just got a box of hevi X to test out for ducks and geese.

HEVI-Shot Duck 12 Gauge Steel Shotshells

It really is $50 bucks for 10 shells.

However, they do offer free shipping...

I'm not that mad at the ducks. Found some hevi-metal on sale end of last season and bought a few boxes for this year. They seem to fold up the ducks mid-air better than most other shells Ive tried.

If anyone is actually interested in Hevishot and are an NRA lifetime member you get a discount. It varies by round but the 3.5 #2’s are 28% off
