Educate me on game cameras

I do not want to be your pocket book

I run 15 to 16 and spend a few thousand a year between cell cost, replacement cams, solar panels, cables, battery packs and other random shite. Not to mention the $4500 startup cost.

I use Tactacam.

I believe you'd be looking at $360+ just for the monthly service on Tactacam, that would be after spending $2,500+ on just the cameras, batteries and solar panels would probably double that. Most of if not all of settings you require would be available with their cameras I believe. I know you can set one check in time the cameras would go off every day, not sure if you can set more than that one time though. You can request a pic at any time if you have the higher end plan. Also, you'll probably need 40 camera's to have 30 that worked at any given time lol. Maybe someone else can chime in with more reliable brand, I'm looking to change.

Yes get the same manufacturer and you can have all cameras on the same AP and website. My cameras and some others allow multiple users either as admins or guests.

Pay attention to the monthly data plan costs; there is a wide range of costs.

Make sure you get live shots, not a consolidated upload of shots one time a day for shots across the last 24 hours, unless that doesn’t matter to you.

Several companies sell t post mounts for cameras with a 1/4” female threaded connection. The rechargeable, sealed battery box also mounts on the t post mount.

My video cams and Spartans work like this. You get motion pics, within the trigger intervals you set and at any time, you can manually go live, triggering the live video. Maybe others do as well?

I’d always set the motion trigger intervals at very short durations so you don’t miss anything, but you can also set the camera to take photos at certain times too. Each brand may be different, but that’s my brand which is Jager Pro. Spartan is basically the same camera, but they may not be able to manually take a photo on command….they previously could not do that, but maybe they can now. Jager Pro cams can do this.
