Edge boat claims to be the fastest hull for duckboat.
40hp on a 650 edge runs over 60mph

Type in "edge duckboat with 40hp" on google and click the videos. There are a few showing 65 and 60 plus
I called the same bullshite and was
proved wrong
There are many duckboats running that
Now from the 40hp im sure these motors are hopped up but they are only rated for 40hp and they run 60 plus

I have a Havoc 1756 DBST with a 50 Tohatsu and it’s a beast. Fishes great, and can go as shallow as u want for duck hunting.
You really can’t go wrong with Excel, Ambush, Havoc, or Edge boats. Just chose the layout you like.
Craigslist and other Arky hunting sites have them for sale all the time if you don’t wanna pay full price.

I have a 16x48 Weldcraft with a 25HP Yamaha 4-stroke tiller that I bought specifically for the burns and the pool. I love it. Everyone who has fished with me in it loves it as well. Has a nice front deck on it. Just don't buy it at Blacks Outdoor and Marine

my dad recently got a 2018 4 stroke 40 tohatsu. it pushes his 1650 at 37 mph.

I know a guy who got a brand new Tohatsu 30hp with a 25hp cowling. Pushes his 15x46 about 35mph.
