I'm ready for the new movie, but I want Corey and Trevor back

LOL! Yeah I hear ya. Jacob and the gangly alien dummies were a sad, sad attempt at replacing those two. But they got so screwed in their contracts making the show they pretty much burned those bridges when they left. I almost bought Trevor's script from Propane, Propane on ebay for like $35 one time. Been kicking myself for not doing it.
You know Phil Collins and Shitty Bill both died while they were making 3 right?

yeah, I'm hijacking this bitch. That's right.

I know a bunch of people from Arkansas go down there just to see DC headquarters. EVERYDAY. Then they shop and eat and may stay in a hotel. Buy gas. Everyone I've talked to said it was a circus with all the people there. Sounds like they are bringing in alot of income to the Monroe area.

Nothing. There have been several economic analyses performed on the tax credits that these shows and movies are given, and they have been shown time and again to be complete tax drains on the state. The majority of the avoided tax revenue or payments go to out of state production companies.

link please, thanks.

No, your argument was beside the point. Sure, the Robersons are making out pretty good and they pay taxes,

but the overall fiscal impact on the state is negative.

So now your saying this show is costing the state money

It may be beside "HIS" point, but your original point remains. This boom in LA programming on TV is good for the state's economy.

I also know several yuppie city folk that have paid big money to go to Louisiana and kill a gator. Thank swamp people for that. I'm sure the 3 I know of aren't the only ones, and I know these ballers spent some cash while they were down there. Between the gator hunt, hotel, gambling, and eating they probably spent $15,000 apiece or more. Redneck/cajun is cool now thanks to these shows.

There is nothing to support this claim.

Yes there is....COMMON SENSE! I don't need any fancy boy with his big numbers telling what is and isn't.

I had a guy in from Minnesota in the other day,, he had to go by and take pictures, buy stuff etc, cause he said he and his daughter watched the show. He couldnt believe how packed the parking lot and store were. We walked in, did a little visiting and we met some more people from Minnesota,,, he could believe it then. They actually lived close by each other.

You figure out a way to measure the tourism impact and I'll believe the figures.

“I was here two weeks ago and went to the ‘Duck Dynasty’ warehouse in West Monroe,” Dardenne said. “There were 20 cars lined up and people who told me when they were making decisions about what to do on spring break their kids didn’t want to go to the beach. They wanted to come to West Monroe because of ‘Duck Dynasty.’”

Something to support the claim
