I watched about 15 greenheads cup up and land behind my house today. It’s not even summer yet and I’m already ready to get back into the blind... Who else is ready to get back out there?

I remember when I had a good duck hole that I could walk into and have a great hunt. Then my cousin decided to let everyone know they could there.

This will be the first season where ducks are taking a back seat to deer. Just not enough to make it worth the trouble anymore.

Yeah I'm ready to get back out there. Only got out twice last year due to my son showing up in mid November and my wife's crazy work schedule.

Last weekend of the season last year. Cold morning limit on public land. 5 mallards and a cotton top.
