I'm going to sit on a white 5 gallon bucket in shorts, Tshirt, and flip flops for teal birds

Didn't see a whole lot of them but will be pyrootin' in the grass somewhere this weekend trying to avoid the skeeters.

Gallinue is also open. I'm sure we will kill enough of those. 15 a person I can't wait till big ducks open.

Doesn't appear to me that any teal have migrated.

Except maybe in welsh where they supposedly have 100K birds on one farm

Well I don't have it like that I hunt Salvador timken reserve and we hunt out our mud boats. We have no other choice but to build blinds

Just sittin' in the grass in a chair, me.

Unfortunately, toured the hell out of my marsh stompin grounds yesterday. Zero teal seen. There's some fronts in the forecast for the weekend/next week so we'll see.

I'll share the following that keeps me going regardless of scout trip sightings.

For 2014 opener, saw zero teal the day before on a long scouting tour through the marsh. Went next morning anyway and almost ran out of shells. You just never know with early season teal so I'd say go if you can and have a place to throw a few dekes and/or spinners. good luck guys

Definitely not a supposedly. We hunt around Pine Island and game warden there confirmed the 100k teal. Said you could walk right up to them and they would not even move. We checked our blinds and did some final touchups and saw around 275-300 teal and didn't even get there at daylight. Looking forward to opening day!

Damn. Well that's quite impressive. The rest of the state even in Venice is having terrible reports.

I used to have a lease in Roanoke and did well there during teal. Killed nothing during big duck though and 6k for teal season was a bit steep.

Just curious. Did you used to lease from Reggie over there?

I can tell you the are NOT in Venice. Saw a few but looks to be a slow opener this weekend unless things change dramatically.

Buddy that doesn't hunt very often asked me what to wear this weekend. I told him a teal colored shirt.

We never do well on teal on Salvador but at least I can go out there with a gun and act like I'm hunting
