i happen to have been in a boat as a young lad and was with more young lads that happened to make the decision to pull up beside a large buck swimming across the Missahippy and drop a rope over his rack... Big mistake, big.. Long story short,,, they lost their rope...

That reminds me of the guy telling me about how they used to catch wild horses from a boat during floods. They would rope them and most of the time he said they would swim next to the boat and they would just putt-putt to where they had a trailer backed down to the edge of the water and run the horse up in the trailer. Said it was all working fine until one's tail got caught up in the prop. Ended up with a horse upside down underneath the boat kicking the bottom of the boat. Result was a dead horse attached to a sunken boat.
