Hell, that is more than my fishing partner does and I have a hell of a fishing partner that has me strapped up before I can get out of the boat. By the time I have the electronics off and covered my boat is ready to turn the battery switch off because he has the buckles on and transom saver on.

My wife pulls a horse trailer periodically so I just assumed she knew how to back a boat trailer. She got to the ramp and I asked her to back the trailer in. I learned she in fact did not know how to back a trailer. Fortunately I called her from the boat and told her to go real slow and turn the wheel the direction I told her and she got the job done.

As one of the first posters said, don’t yell and belittle her. That’s not how girls respond.

We usually go to launches that aren’t very busy. I take off the straps and then I get the boat lined up and almost backed into the water. Then I let her back it in the rest of the way and she parks the truck after.

My wife helps tremendously by staying a safe distance away from the boat or truck.
