Yea, pulling the engine out is a big deal for most people.

If it truly is mint condition otherwise though, as in brand spanking new besides little water leak, somebody will pay way too much for it.

Eta: I doubt you have to pull the engine to do that though. Usually you can take the radiator out and pull the whole front of the engine apart in every truck I've ever messed with.

I looked up the job and it looks like the oil pan has to come off to the the timing cover off.

Can pull the oil pan without pulling the motor. I'd imagine the target market this this type of truck if they want to fool with it would be a classic type person and may want to spend the cash or they have the ability to yank it out.

Thatd be even better if that's not the case.

I'll go back and look on my laptop. That'd definitely be easier than pulling that heavy arse engine.

:barf:

Red interior was the worst thing about the 90s.

It's worth $12,000 as is IMO.

let me clarify, it’s my understanding you cannot remove the oil pan without removing the engine. Due to a cross member.

That's what I saw. And it looks like the oil pan needs to come off.

The quote he was given was to change the oil pan and oil pump while it's out. Few other parts opportunity work.

It's totally ridiculous. Somebody will absolutely pay 20 for it and I'd be surprised if he couldn't find someone who'd pay 30 with a little patience.

This- I am a nut for those trucks. I also am at a stage in my life where I buy silly things sometimes. For no reason at all.

If it was close to me- like I passed it on the way to work, and I was in the right mood- I don’t think I would bark at $25k or more.

The internet will put him within reach of many more people like me, who are 90 times nuttier than me.

To put it in better perspective- this gen body style is what many mid 40 year olds parents had when they were in high school. They might have driven one in college. Get those guys in a successful career, kids are out of high school, and bam.

It’s a great recipe for a perpetually pissed off wife. :-)
