That is a fine machine. That is the most functional vehicle on the road, wherever it is.

It's a van. By definition it's kind of rapey.

Well the Edge can turn off the CEL from appearing when it throws certain codes but EFI live and a TechII can still read the codes...it will be interesting to see what they are...I'll be able to get him a good second opinion and a course of action to take instead of just taking TNT's word for it...

only reason I didn't recommend TNT is they aren't really GM specialists...most of their work is done on Fords and Dodge's

It's sucking air, I think. That would account for the noise. Possibly, TPS (if they call it that).

If he's got the plastic fuel filter it's quite probable...that or we've even seen people crack the plastic bleeder screw and it suck air...

The thing that worries me is the transmission message he got on the DIC...if it wouldn't have shown that we could have ruled that out already...we'll know more if they have a techII at the shop...

It showed that once. I couldn't get it to do that symbol again.

I missed that, I guess.
I wonder if that code was cause or effect?

I am already past the limits of my knowledge.
Hopefully, a quick fix.

that code should still be in the computer...I don't know why they had to wait for the Dmax mechanic...they could have at least put the techII on it to see what they were looking at...a monkey could do that...

They have people that are certified by each manufacturer, and prefer them to work on their specific trucks. Most of their guys are also certified by a bunch of aftermarket companies also.

They have more Ford guys because, well....you know

I drove it around a few different times trying to get it to show me some codes but it wouldn't. It only did the transmission light and the engine underpowered the day I drove it home from the shop in limp mode. It was a little low on tran fluid so I added some. That may have shut that code up?

I've had a transmission seal leaking a little bit for a couple months but I've just been adding fluid to it when it got low.
