Has anyone made the run to some of the hotspots in Black Bay yet? If so, are the trout out there now?

A neighbor went out of Delacroix yesterday but not sure exactly where they fished. He said it was him, his young son and a friend in the boat and they landed 60 keeper trout between them.

He stopped by to give me a bag of filets for the wife and I to enjoy------------and we will.

Fish still mostly inside, but likely starting to transition. Wouldn't figure Black Bay is happenin yet, especially with high river, but Campo, 4-horse, etc. on the fringes are heating up.

Thanks. I hope the river doesn't get too high and screw everything up again. Do you know if river water gets as far east as the Wreck and Black Tanks?

Just depends on wind and currents. Strong west wind for a day and river water will definitely be by the tanks. Good thing is you can usually still fish those spots. You'll have a layer of fresh on top and salt towards the bottom.
