I must be an idiot in my old age but damn if I am not having trouble getting my car windshields to defog. I turn the damn window defrost button but is it better to use AC and cold air, hot air, same as ambient air etc. the windows on my expedition fog up in his muggy air so fast I literally have to pull over.

I tried the anti fog stuff, made it worse.

Maybe your defroster is not kicking your compressor on.

Sounds as though your a/c isn’t working.

I put my defroster on with high heat. Then I start sweating my balls off so I put a crack in the front passenger window and the back drivers side window and put the heat to about halfway.

Works every time 40% of the time.

Warm dry air works best, check to see if your AC compressor is working when you set it to defrost mode. I keep cheap microfiber towels in mine to wipe a bit first thing.

rain-x the inside of your windshield, it helps.

My buddy says he uses Dr. Pepper on the inside of his, and he swears by it. I've never tried it though.

I can tell you this for a fact, if you spit on the inside of your diving mask, wipe it all around, then buff it up with a paper towel, your mask won't fog for about 1 hour.

Think about something that really makes your mouth water, and this might help you out.

I use vineagar to clean the windows on the inside. It seems the oils and shite from our skin or breathing get on the inside of the with Window.

I'll use vineagar to cut that film. No film it seems to fog up waaaay less.

Spray the vineagar on a lint free rag not straight on your windshield.

Report back lemme k ow if it helps.

You smell coolant inside your vehicle? Could be a heater core leak.

Make sure that you are not running your A/C on recirculate. Need to condition outside air. Yes lower humidity air from the a/c system.

X1000, the problem is the gunk on the inside, inside glass needs to be cleaned several times a year, most people never do it.
