I already know this answer. They don't allow them to talk to nobody

If you are waiting for LEO's to come out and say that if they are being investigated they make no statements without a lawyer present, you're going to waiting for a long time.

I don't get why anyone would ever make any statement to any law enforcement about any investigation without an attorney present. It's just not worth the risk.

You know what has never happened in the history of the universe? A cop saying "oh, you shot that guy in self defense? Ok, sounds good to me. Have a nice day."

If I ever have to shoot someone in self-defense, my first official statement will be after I have had time to come down from the excitement and talk with an attorney.

I think this thread has turned into an excellent example of why you should never talk to the police without a lawyer present.

That's exactly what I am waiting to hear. With all due respect, I figure that what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

and why people hate cops and lawyers equally.

I've seen way more instances of cops going out of their way to help absolve someone than burn them. In fact, that's pretty much all I see in my death cases. I have one now you really would not believe. The cop must have spent 10-12 hours over the course of several days documenting everything possible to clear the survivor.

So, in spite of the cop's attempts to clear the survivor, he (the survivor) is still in a lot of legal trouble and the prosecutor (or whomever) won't drop the charges against your client? If you can answer this question...did your client make a statement to the police immediately after or did he wait to talk to you first?

noticed it was the lawyer in the thread that was extremely meticulous in what exactly he said or didn't say yet he's defending the go ahead and rabble rabble to us to cops after you shot someone.

No, that's not the case at all. This was a car wreck. There were no criminal charges.

Statement at the scene. He didn't have a lawyer at all until the civil suit.

So you're comparing a PI case to criminal defense. You can't really be a lawyer? If so, dear God.
