Are they still running and being sold live or is it too late in the season?

Apparently we are getting a sack for Father's day.

Even if you can find them... there is a reason why probably 90% have stopped farming them. No money in it and they are hard as hell. shite, had some guys say they stopped b/c they were getting smaller a few weeks ago.

The fields behind my house were drained this week.

We did some last weekend. Small, hard, and stuck to the shell.

Pretty late in the season, the shells are very very hard, wouldn't recommend doing them. Try getting like a lobster-gram instead or some nice steaks

I'm not sure where you are located but there are a very few pond farmers around here that are still running and even less that are still getting any worth boiling.
Most of what they are still pulling out now are just seeding for next season.

We drained our ponds two weeks ago bc they were getting too hard. I’d imagine the same is true for wild caught.
