Just picked up a CRAFTSMAN V20 20-volt Max 1/2-in Drive Cordless Impact Wrench (1-Battery Included) for $111 at Lowes fyi...for what I'll use it for its a good deal.

Anyone know if the new Craftsman Lowe’s line tools are any good?
My old Craftsman set from 15 years ago gave up on me. The newer stuff from Sears was junk, especially the batteries.

I heard they were gonna start making the wrenches, sockets, and ratchets in America again a while back. Not sure if that ever happened though

Good question, but I say why take a chance on battery tools, just buy the proven brands, Dewalt, Roybi, etc.

Since Lowes acquisition of Craftsman, Stanley Black & Decker has continued to manufacture the brand's tools at the same facilities or by contracting with the same third-party manufacturers.

I shop in Lowes all the time.
EVERYTHING is being labeled Craftsman.
So you'll have to go on an item by item inspection.

Stanley/Black & Decker, who also owns Dewalt, is who owns Craftsman now.

Craftsman power tools are still mostly made by TTI/One World Technologies, same corporation behind Ryobi and Milwaukee. Lowes has the Craftsman drill/driver and that impact for $99/ea right now, pretty damned good deal.
