On my Tuesday lunch trip to Academy and I see an new bait. Looks like something I would like. No bar code. Package looks old. I search the aisles for another . None. This will be trouble. I try to buy anyway. Gal at the register calls for help. Dude's on the computer for a while. Conclusion: they don't sell these, and a customer must have brought it in and left it. Can I have it? We didn't see that. Picture below.

I'd guess that someone from that tackle company brought those baits into the store in an attempt to get the Academy store manager to starting stocking it and left the baits behind.

Yeah, I was searching while trying to decide if to go through the hassle of buying. Going to start fishing schoolies at Kincaid soon. Looked like something they would hit.

I think this is the company. Looks like they're out of North Carolina.

Those look pretty nice. Are they jerkbaits? Maybe twitch baits?

Topwater that is weighted to hang vertically when still and then can be walked.

That's just an internet pick. The store had only one bait and no one there could explain why they had it. I bet on a somewhat calm day, the trouts would kill it.

Just to be sure your not getting ripped off I would send the blue/chrome one to a fellow poster to verify authenticity.

Preferably a poster who lives in, say, South Carolina….near a herring lake like Lake Hartwell….who coincidently also owns a BassCat….hmmmmm I wonder who…. Oh wait….I know just the guy. :)

If its blue and chrome they'll eat it. But to verify probably should send one down to the Hill and make certain its not just a one off....
