Anyone have any experience with the large tire mini bikes that they sell at tractor supply and other places? Thinking about getting one for my son to ride around the camp and neighborhood, but was wondering about quality, reliabilitty, compfort, etc. It looks like there are a number of different manufacturers, (coleman, trailmaster, mossimo, etc)...thanks for any input.

Don't waste your money. Think honda. Yamaha, suzuki, or kawasaki

The landowner of my deer lease has one of the Coleman bikes. He's had it a couple years but it doesn't have a lot of miles on it. I rode it around the place for the first time a couple weeks ago and had a blast. There were several of us that took turns riding it and everybody without exception came back with a smile on their face.
I can't speak to long term reliability but it started on the second pull for me and was just really fun to ride. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

Dirt cheap too repair; bearings, tires, belt drive, and everything else can be found at any power transmission house (Motion Industries) or all over Amazon. Chinese engine and HF Predator will be a direct bolt in if need to replace ever arises.
Like said before, I'd rather buy a Japanese bike but those are cheap and cheap to maintain

Buddy of mine has one they keep it as his camp it’s several years old and he says it’s the best money he ever wasted.
Every gets on and and rides around like big gorillas and gets a bunch of laughs out of it.

I have the Coleman BTX200. It's really fun for the money. I got it for around the neighborhood and camp. Like said above it's cheap to work on. Lots of aftermarket parts on amazon. I changed the headlight to led, replaced the carb, and exhaust. Only real complaint is not having a rear suspension sucks, but I figured that going in.
This pretty much sums it up perfectly.

Same here. I had to modify the brake drum a little from the factory to make it perfect, but otherwise it's been great and reliable. I probably have several hundred miles on it by now. Parts are cheap and available, and they are easily modded. I shortened the throttle cable spring and removed the screw stop on the carb and got a few more mph. Next up is stiffer valve springs. Like I tell my friends after they ride it for the first time, it's way more fun than it should be.

They are disposable fun.
Honest answer, you can get a piranha mini bike for a decent price. It would be the better buy.

If you can find a broken one, Harbor Freight has a badass motor that will replace it.
Predator racing motor.
