Well, I just gave up on the starter. The old one barely came off and I cannot get the new one on. There are a few things in the way, namely the block, the frame, a fuel hose, two transmission fluid lines, the exhaust manifold, and some big arse bracket that comes off of the pinch weld. I am about to call AAA to bringing this hunk of shite to Tire Kingdom.

I swear to mother fricking Christ, I haven't ever worked on a car that was as hard to do anything on as this. Changing the fricking belt took me almost two hours because of where they put the tensioner. I am so tempted to riddle this mother fricker with bullets right now

Define "there".

I've certainly been annoyed with stuff before, so I've been there.

I've never had a vehicle with that serious of issues, so I have not been there.

64k on my current one, 292k on the one I sold for 4500 four years ago. I saw it running the streets of Gonzales on Monday.

Headed to get an old bronco in a week or so, '78. These new trucks are too damned complicated, I want something I can work on with a set of SAE wrenches. I'm certain I'll get plenty of practice with those wrenches.

Ford runs GM into the ground, as well as Toyota and Dodge.

that hwy or towing?

Shoot, I get 11 towing my Camper at 12,500#@ or above 70mph

19-21 hwy empty correlated with doing mostly 70-80mph

Thats driving like a teenager in his first sports car... 80+ everywhere I go, a combination of HWY and city. I could probably baby it and get 10-11, but F that, I've got places to go

That always killed me.

How about I buy something that doesn't need all that re-engineering?

Honestly...If I could find a mint low mile 6.0 with very few miles, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat and bullet proof it...

It then becomes just as good, if not better due to power&efficiency and the six speed than a 7.3...

worlds better than a 6.4 and I believe better than a 6.7...it's just the old style front end that I wouldn't want at that point...

Finished the damn starter. The injector is just gonna get some diesel kleen and hopefully it fixes itself because I can't even see the wires or hoses going to it
