Clark Creek in Mississippi

Looks like Clark Creek hiking area in Mississippi is back open. Great day hiking location about an hour north of Baton Rouge. Waterfalls, hills and great hiking.

My wife and I took our 7 and 5 yo last Saturday. Weather was perfect for it. I had never been but it’s something we’ll be doing more often. Kids had a blast.

I love that place. We always called it Tunica Hills growing up. Maybe someone can clarify the difference.

Tunica Hills is a WMA on the Louisiana side that also has hiking. Clark Creek is just over the state line in Mississippi.

My Clark Creek story: Back in the early 2000’s I had a sales route that would bring me close enough to make it an escape. So, every 2wks or so I’d show up, often in nice clothes, and hike the primitive trail as a way to decompress. I’d get home late and muddy, happy as a clam.

Got laid under those waterfalls back in 2007 on an empty Tuesday hike with my girlfriend when she didn’t have class at LSU one day. Waterfall sex is awesome, I can’t lie.

I had a girlfriend in college that liked to take the hike in a white t-shirt with no bras because she liked the attention after standing under the waterfalls.
