Yeah little choupique made the best hunting shot I have witnessed on pretty big hog last weekend. 125 yards right between the eyes. W a 17. Dropped in his tracks

Not to hijack the thread.... but Wic, been having my GSP pup for a few weeks now. This dude is a trip. Super intelligent. Just over 3mths..... Not sure if this matters now, but he loves retrieving stuff. Almost a little too much. Constantly putting toys in my lap.

Encourage it, but I have found once shorthairs get into finding birds and not retrieving them they prefer to go hunt. Watch and see...

Witnessed the first real or sort of real "point" yesterday.... dude came around a group a bushes and a big ol fat cotton tail was eating some grass..... He picked up his little left paw and started to get straight as an arrow, then the rabbit hauled arse. He just turned and looked at me like wtf was that

nope.... the lil guy has the house all to himself. might i add he is taking full advantage as well.

You can tie a bird wing to a fishing pole (cane pole works great) and flick it in front to encourage the pointing instinct...
