They still make the bamboo model and they have a molded call? I'd like to get opinions on them. TIA

I figured the bamboo call would be a nice piece to have.

I was given one as a gift in 1988. Had it fine tuned by Mr. Mervis Saltzman himself after I got it. I used it Monday and it is as good now as it was then. I have a rice land call also. Rice land is easier to blow, but chein caille sounds better IMO.

They do. Two models. I asked them by email and got confirmation yesterday.

I did have a bamboo one when I was younger. It sounded good, but the bamboo split after a few seasons. It would be a nice call to have in a collection though.

I was gifted one a few years back, and that is what they are. A nice gift. They don't hold up well in the elements to really hold a nice tune. So, just get it engraved and put it for show in the office.

He told me that. He has a few good lines he uses when teaching. He told me if he is an a-hole, then people remember what he taught them. If he is nice, they forget as soon as they walk out the door.

I vaguely remember that. He sure made me feel small when I couldn't make my call sound good, then he would take it and show me how it was done. Just that experience is worth buying a chein caille call. I doubt you will be able to get the bamboo calls in the near future. It you can get one and get a calling lesson, it will be money well spent.

Didnt say it wasnt a good call, the Riceland is a much better sounding call and much easier to blow imo.
