I’ll tell my brothers story here. I think it’s a classic. They were at an LSUGame with another couple. Girl in the stands in front of them had her crack showing. He is eating peanuts. One slips out of his hands and flies right into the crack! He immediately hands the bag of peanuts off to his friend who has no idea of what happened. The girl never notices the illegal peanut in the crack zone and nothing happens! Funny shite, but how do you not know a peanut just slid into your asscrack??
We have used them twice. Both times there was delays and poor communication. Very satisfied with the final building and the cost, you’re just going to be frustrated working with them.
I agree with speckledawg. Los Suenos is nice, but you’re basically staying at a golf resort. We stayed in Manuel Antonio and fished out of Quepos. Used bluehorizoncostaruca.com for our booking. They have a lot of connections to Louisiana people and treated us very well.
I agree to check the wheel bearings. Had to change both sides on our Silverado. Was told it was a common issue.

If you’re driving down from Miami, stop at Robbie’s marine in islamorada and feed the tarpons. It’s a quick stop, kind of a dive, but very unique to the keys. Hand feeding a 50 pound tarpon is a just a cool experience.

There’s a guy making them out of aluminum and selling them to camp owners in grand isle. Good reviews. He’s building us one. Not hurricane rated but looks as good to me. His number is 504-485-1132. Have his number, but not his name. He answers text.
I second captain Herk with Paradise Charters. Fished with him many times. He’s got a great boat and quality equipment and usually finds the trout.
Depending on who manufactured your window they may be under warranty. We installed ply-gem windows when we built 9 years ago. They have a lifetime warranty. Two windows fogged up. I filed a warranty claim with them and they sent me replacement windows. I hired someone to install them.
Thibodeaux’s Town and Country in Abbeville has a good selection. I find their prices to be lower than Chastant’s.

We stayed in Manuel Antonio/Quepos earlier this year. Best trip of my life. Used Bluehirizoncostarica.com for all bookings. Diego is the guy there and can hook you up with anything. He has multiple Baton Rouge and Lake Charles connections. Treated us like family.

re: Frozen chargrilled oysters

I’ve tried them. Definitely not as good as fresh, but are nice to have as an appetizer option. Biggest complaint I have is that these ones were still attached to the shell they weren’t free floating so when you went to fork it off the shell it was stuck and had to scrape it off and it just tore the oyster up.
It’s an old Gravois. It’s all custom work. Not factory.
Need to have leaning post seat cushion redone. Took it by Sterling in New Iberia. They do good work, but I felt their quote was a bit high. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
I second putting the propane bottle in a tub or bucket of water. It won’t freeze up.

I second Capt. Herk with Pair a dice charters.

Financial advisor in Lafayette area.

Can someone recommend me one in this area?

Have some extra income lately and don’t trust myself to be my own adviser. Currently use an Edward Jones agent who has done well for us. Just would like to get a new viewpoint and be somewhat more diversified.

Thanks.
There was definable a Lu Lu’s bar and restaurant in Gueydan, not far from Estherwood. It was a happening place back in the day. Closed in the 70’s I think.
Thanks to everyone for the great information. I feel like I’ve got a better shot at recovering some funds due to this boards help.
The problem I have is who to hire. Need to find a litigation guy who will deal with a small claim like mine.
Our policy has a clause that the event must be on the premises.
They claim it was a power surge from an offsite event.

I live on a dead end street and ours was the only house affected.
