Both my SPYPOINT link micros are fried. Bought them last summer. Didn’t even last a season. Pure junk.

Any recommendations for cellular cameras?

Are you sure they are fried?? The only reason I ask is I have a SPYPOINT and when they updated the app a few weeks ago my camera stopped working. All I did was put a fresh micro sd card in, some fresh batteries and it went back to working like normal.

That’s what I did. The light twitches red at an inconsistent pace and does nothing. App can’t find the cameras.

I fixed it. There are 8 batteries FYI. I’m an idiot.

Hahaha I think you owe spypoint an apology. Little harsh on the “pure junk” comment.

I think they're pure junk as well. Had a non-cellular spypoint and it completely stopped working after 2 months of use. New batteries, new card, etc didn't help.

I also make sure that I keep the firmware updated. I have 10 running for 2 years with ZERO issues with the current Firmware

Spypoint have a 2 year warranty. I'd contact them and try to get them replaced.

ETA: I didn't read the entire thread before I posted. Glad you got them working. Like the other poster said, 1 of mine quit working last week when I moved it from 1 property to another. I uploaded the firmware update and it's all good now.

HCO Spartan GoCam

Spartan GoCams work well, but are expensive. You can’t share data so if you are buying more than one camera, it adds up quickly. Their customer support and app are very good. Bothers me you have to pay extra to use the app though.

When you factor in data, they are more expensive than the new Reconyx Camera. Cell camera data is the new racket. Even the cheap cameras now are $10/month per camera.
