Ive hunted there quite a bit with some friends who have had the same blinds for 30 years. Its an odd social scenne not allowed on other public land. And yes they will run u out and burn your blind in the blink of an eye if u get anywhere near their spots

Yeah they're going to have a tough time burning my blind that I set up when I get there in the morning.

If someone exchanged words with me though and then I found my permanent blind burned the next day, I would be burning some shite the next day. And then posting about the limits I killed there on LAS with gps coordinates, several times a season.

Why not hop in someone's blind and tell them gtfo when they try to force you out?

What's the worst that can happen?

You think I'm joking about throwing Fa-La's name in the mix? It moves mountains in Catahoula. His house is next to the church. Just sayin

All lakes are public. It's all public land. Don't let anyone tell you any different.

All lakes are indeed not public....

I would assume Catahoula Lake is navigable? No?

I don't wanna hop in anyones blind. I don't think they should be allowed to build blinds.

There shouldn't be a permanent structure on that lake.

Down there, it's not what you know, it's WHO you know. Fa-La is/was a very respected man. Just throw that name out there. I'm serious. Best catfisherman in Catahoula by a long shot.

Cicero

Legally, you should be able to get in any blind, first come, first serve. However, tell that to a bunch of Deville rednecks with shotguns coming to their blind. Nobody there to support you.

Not that I agree with the way things are handled out there, but I'm not sure posters on here understand what the people are like out there.

Yeah, until LDWF enforces the no permanent blind rule out there, that applies to every other public property, it will continue.

It's funny to hear people out there talk about "their" blind spot, which has been hunted since their grandfather built it. Don't dare infringe on their spot.

Jorconalx I wasn't saying you were wrong. I was talking to the other guy who admitted he was wrong. Fyi it isn't just the blinds that give guys the rights. I was hunting wax and they were claiming stick blinds they built as being their spot. People just think they own something because they want to hunt there.
