And bypass the particulate filter? Similar to deleting a diesel truck?

Asking for a friend who does illegal shite, unlike myself

Yes, good luck finding someone though. Gotta know someone local and I hope they trust you. EPA is cracking down severely on shops for deletes

Not only what KingRanch said, but also have to take into consideration any warranty if there is one.

Know a guy that did that to a trackhoe. Something went wrong with it and the service guys from Wade wouldn’t even touch it until he changed it back. This was last summer.

He got it done somewhere in Jackson.

Well, that shouldn't happen. At least not on one with a full SCR system that uses DEF.

It definitely sucks compared to old school tech from a cost perspective, but the new stuff on the market is pretty fantastic. Fuel is better, filtration is great, DEF allows for very little to no EGR. I wouldn't bother deleting anything (truck, tractor, etc) that uses DEF.

Those bastard engines in between with just a DPF running shitloads of EGR do suck arse, and I'd find a way to fix that if I had one

Regen is hell on part-time tractor operators bush-hoging and planting fields. Gotta be worse on those people who depend on them every day.

I have 8 JD 5055E tractors with EGR crap that don’t use DEF. It’s not ideal for catfish farm paddle wheel use, it goes into regen mode in middle of night and revs up to 1400 rpm on a 540 pto and puts way too much strain on the equipment trying to push that much water. And then my guys who cut off and service tractors each morning forget not to turn it off if it’s in regen and it ends up throwing a bunch of lights on and running 1/3 power until I get a technician to come reboot it and do a burn off for about 1,000 bucks.

I miss the good ol days of using a farmall 806 that could run wide arse open with no problem at all

Indestructible and easy to fix but damn they just used too much fuel

Put a gear reduction on your aerators and set your rpms high enough.

Not possible. They’re made with a straight shaft into old cotton picker bull gears or a half track rear end from WW2 army trucks. So technically it’s already reduced but they don’t make anything that would work that further reduces it. It’s getting difficult to find replacements when they break, as there is a limited supply of 50 year old bull gears and nobody makes new cast iron casings to copy them

shite then I wouldn’t have any help. I haven’t received a single job applicant in 3 years. These guys been here 10+ years. Hard to find help in this industry unless you get Mexicans through H2A program
