Kinda of a funny story. Used to live on the lake and one morning I was looking out at my yo-yo's and saw one next to one of em. He would fly off and come right back time and time again. Said WTF? Drive over there and a kingfisher had got caught on one trying to steal the shiner. Let it go and it flew off. CSB

A deceased belted kingfisher. They will break their necks on occasion when diving for fish.

One of the few birds in which the female is more attractive than the male. The "belt" across the chest is only found on the female.
