How is a double action only Glock more dangerous for accidental fire, then a double action revolver?

I always did the same with my crack barrel 20 gauge when I was younger

I much rather cock the hammer to fire, then push the safety off an a lever action. It just feels like a more natural movement with my thumb while trying to pay attention to a deer, or squirrel (.22 is also lever action) or even bad guy. I constantly check to make sure the safety is off, because my brother snapped his safety when shooting at a big buck. He ended up killing it anyway, though.

Is a safety a new thing on the 336? Pretty sure mine has half-cock as the only safety. Been a while since I shot it though.

Yea the newer models have a crossblock safety under the hammer. Good for loading and unloading. I dont use it much other than that though. I grew up with an older one that didnt have the safety.

Think they started putting them in the late 70's or early 80's. It's nothing but a hammer block that pushes sideways. You still have a half cock and the hammer isn't rebounding.

Mine would have been bought around 77 or so. Almost positive is doesn't have that. It's the Glenfield with the cheaper wood.

Glocks are striker-fired correct?
If so, is the striker pre-loaded or is it a full double-action trigger?

How are Glocks not DAO? Can you cock the hammer manualy? After the first round is fired, does it fire in single action? The long trigger pull is the safety. Just like a revolver.

That's what mine has. I don't know what year it was manufactured. My dad had it for as long as I can remember though.

I feel like i have less chance of shooting myself with a revolver than a glock. DA revolvers generaly have atrotious DA triggers.
The new LCR has such a short and smooth DA trigger that it scares me though. Incredibly nice trigger.

Am I unique in that I never worry about accidentally shooting myself?
Other people, yeah.

Id be constantly worried about it if i had a loaded gun inside my waistband.
Having an accidental discharge makes you a gun safety nazi.

I'm not scared of a glock by any means, but I agree with this
