Butterfly or Moth ID?

Im not sure if it’s a butterfly or moth but it has 3 inch wings personally I’ve never seen one that big. At first I thought it was a bat flying around lol.

FWIW, an easy way to tell the difference between a moth and butterfly is to look at the antennae. If they are straight and smooth, it's a butterfly. If they are feather-like, it's moth.

Moth antennae are also sexually dimorphic.
Males have the big feathery ones; females are usually shorter or more saw-like.
