oyster shells have filled a many of pothole on my road for decades when I was a kid my paw paw would eat a sack a week during the winter months and all the shells went on the road. Everytime I drag the road I always see some come up

Thats not too bad. Hell they cost more than limestone in terrebonne parish. We had a couple loads delivered to our camp in chauvin since they don't sink as bad in the mud. We ended up covering them up with limestone after they settled.

Some processors who own their own beds take them back out to their lease and dump them to form new beds.
