Full moon is at the end of the month, so Memorial Day weekend should be hot this year. I've seen zero pics from there on bream this year so far.

Went yesterday and hit three spots where we got in then last year about this time on south end Texas side. They were not bedded up in those areas yet Took kids swimming after an hour Water still kinda chilly
Stores still had plenty of crickets which is usually a sign it's not fully on just yet

Fishing report said bream are starting to bed. Couple more weeks and it will be on.
We haven't truly hammered them in a couple years though.

When not bedding, I have always been able to catch on outside ridges using a drop shot cricket.

I tried them last Saturday, caught 30-40 but only 6-7 big ones.
They seemed not quite ready, I bet from now till the end of the month will be good.
Take a trot line and put the small bream on it as bait, you'll catch all kinds of stuff.

I'm going to try to go this weekend in henderson. I fished in north ms last weekend and was able to catch about 60 on a fly rod. They were scattered....not bedded. I had to work for them. You could see the beds everywhere but they weren't on them.

My cousin was catching the hell out of the bream 2 weeks ago. caught 30 off of one bed in the same lake. The she bream still have eggs. I think they made the beds and now they've moved back deep until they spawn.
