Cant speak for the assassin, but i shoot an 82nd Airborne that is extremely fast. It has a pretty small letoff window, but relatively high letoff percentage if that makes sense. Its very accurate at 45/50 yards and it gets there quickly.

Almost bought an Assassin but ended up finding a used Invasion CPX on eBay for a little more than an Assassin. Shot assassin alot at a bow shop and without a doubt probably the best bow for your money especially since it comes rigged out, but my invasion will smoke it! if your ok with a used bow watch ebay for invasion bought mine rigged out for $700 think an assassin is around $600

I can't speak for the model but all my bow hunting buddies in Oregon all shoot a Bowtech and it isn't just because it's made there.
When I get into bowhunting it'll be the brand I go with. Heard a lot of good things.

I fool with diamond more than bowtech (same company) and like almost all of their products.
