60lb regulator. Big red regulator hard to miss. Don’t remember the name but it’s awesome. Have used it for atleast five or six years now. No better way to get a faster boil

Take the regulator off and use a needle valve. Problems go away

My coonass buddy (steamed crawfish in an icechest with the powdered seasoning on the outside type) hooked his line straight to the propane tank and regulated with the valve on the tank

Get you a Hoke needle valve and get rid of the regulator. You can put an inline check valve between the tank and needle valve if you are afraid of it backfeeding into the tank

looks like all the needle valves are compression and not threaded.
so, tank --- > needle valve ---> nipple ---> check valve ----> hose ----> burner
pretty much? 3/8" connections I think?

fixing to look into this tmrw. even on my catering trailer we still use the high pressure regulators. don't have much trouble, but occasionally one will mess up, and generally its on a 1000 pound boil and at the worst time possible. got to do 4-500 pounds saturday, so it would be a good time to try it out on a relatively small boil

Needle valve. I'll never buy another regulator as long as I live.

My rig is a direct connection from bottle to hose to burner. My dads is as well. Never had any issues.
