My dog was actually a rescue. He was dumped on plank road. My aunt picked him up. He wasn't but 5 weeks old. I took him in he's 5 now. He got a set of cods on him too.

That's a shame. I can't imagine not socializing one if they all act like mine. I can already tell she is gonna need discipline as well as over protective.

I have two pups slightly older than him so they are like the 3 musketeers. My pups bring up rats birds squirrels. One ate a rabbit couple days ago.

Had the pup inside last night due to the cold. Let her out this morning and there was a rabbit in the back yard. The chase was on but those puppy legs couldn't run as fast as the rabbit.

Good looking pup. Im going to be getting another cur soon and really like these and the mountain curs. My catahoula just turned 13 and he is really having a hard time getting around. Completely quit walking on one of his back legs a few months ago, but the vet said wasnt anything we could do at that age. Just watching him close and keeping him as comfortable as I can, but lately I feel like its about time to put him down.
Is Ladner out of central la? Sounds familiar.

Nah my long time hunting compadre is MIA and has been for 4 days. Him and the golden busted out to go chase some black poon. Have since found the golden but not Jax. I fear he's been picked up.

You will never regret getting a BMC. I've got one that was a rescue. Cut male. He's the best dog I've ever owned. Best advice I can give on them is that they are voice activated. You should almost never have to physically correct them like you would a hound. Although once they have prey in sight they can suddenly go completely deaf on you.

And yes, they are pure murder on anything that gets in their yard. They will protect you and your family with their lives if need be. They cue off you though. If a friend they've never met comes up, they know it's a friend and they're friendly as hell. But if it's a stranger and you act surprised, or your intensity goes up at all, you better get your hand on them. That ridge goes up, that deep growl starts and that black mouth seems to make those teeth look even bigger. They are a scary damn dog right then. I had mine almost eat a pizza man because he went to the door with the kids and they were expecting a preteen girl friend and not a large black guy. I got him right as he was making his move to cover the girls.

They don't eat much for their size. They are always on the job, whether that's guarding the yard, hunting, or just laying up watching you or herding the kids. Just an amazing dog.

Any of you gents have contact info for the breeders you got your dogs from? I have been interested in a BMC for a while but don't know where to start looking for one. Hard to find many breeders online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They're a registered breed.
