Haven't seen them, but they've been in our garbage a couple of times. I found an old chocolate syrup bottle when I was cleaning up that had canine holes all the way through...about 4" apart.

Yotes = yep.

Black bear = Nope. Never seen a live one in the wild before. (though came across a hunter with a dead one)

Brown bear = frick yeah...got charged in '89

Come this way. They roam the streets downtown, you don't have to go far. I've seen them ripping trash from the dumpsters beside the cruise ship dock. We've had several brown bear in town this fall which is unusual.

We have a black bear in our neighborhood that terrorizes trash cans all summer. Pretty scary to see a bear sitting at the end of your driveway eating trash.
