It was was 35” and weighed in at 19.8 lbs. not sure how big they get. I’ve never fished for them but I may start. Hear they are fun to fish for.

Damn. I haven't caught one since I was a kid, but never caught one over about 2 pounds.

That's a hog.

1. I've never seen a conservation officer wearing shorts.

2. I've certainly never seen a conservation officer wearing sandals.

If you've ever been to Arkansas in August, near the White River, you would understand. It's surreal that the air temp and humidity can be so hot and stifling, yet if you jump into the White River, you will suffer hypothermia with air temps approaching 100 and heat indexes of near 110.

Bruh, you think it’s not hot around the rest of us in the south?

FWIW officers wear shorts in Florida routinely on boats. Certainly not sandals though.

Eta: that fish is huge.

That's a donkey brown. My brother and I busted some North Georgia native browns on a small wild river over the weekend. 2 weight fly rods are fun.

nice catch, must have fought like a whale on the 2 weight. i have a 3 weight fiberglass rod that i take to small streams that is super fun.

and just to be "that guy" - the browns you caught might have been wild, but they aren't native to GA or anywhere in north america.
