If I want to hang a personal best on the wall, what's wrong with that? It might happen once or twice in someone's life? Big fricking deal.

It's not a big deal. Do what you want.

I think a replica would be much less wasteful though.

Ive fished lobster, crab, crawfish, turtle, and panfish.

What's your point?

It's not wasteful, it's a milestone in someone's fishing career. If they want a true mount, let them have it. There's nothing wasteful about it, the bastard is gonna die sooner or later.

It is a waste of meat and eggs. Replicas aren't.

You've never caught a bass or any saltwater fish before?

Yes, I've caught many different species in both fresh and salt.

Again, what's your point?

let's quote you directly again, then

quote:

If everyone does what you do, fish will disappear.

the only thing arkytiger did was catch a 9lb fish and bring it home to mount. he doesn't even meat fish. so what, exactly, are you arguing then?

or you could just direct some more "personal attacks" at a few posters and then tell them how that reflects on your "class".

If no one practices catch and release (conservation)
species will disappear.

You lack serious reading comprehension.

Nobody practices catch and release deer hunting and deer are still around. If everyone kept their fish there would still be fish because the limits would be adjusted. If you are within limits keep all you want.
