That pellet is over triple the price of what the OP wants. That should last decades for 3k.
Yea, I was not really recommending the MAK to the guy who started thread. I read how much he wanted to spend. I was replying to Yudaman about how he was right that pellet smokers don’t really apply the amount of smoke that a stick smoker does. I just mentioned it to show that they can still do an excellent job and be really durable.
This is not directed at you so don’t take offense but some people talk about buying made in the USA stuff but when it comes right down to it most people just want something cheap doesn’t really matter where it is made. I try to buy USA made stuff if at all possible. I think Yoder, Memphis , and Cookshack are a few of the brands that are made in the USA.
Most people are not going to run 3 tons of pellets through their smoker so a Chinese model is probably all they really need anyway.

I got 10nyears out of a new Braunfels offset from academy. Take care of it and it last. I see no glaring issues with the masterbuilt other than the shite app.

I have a grilla silverbac. I absolutely love it. Very consistent cook. VERY well made for the money. My neighbor rolled his trager over and we we cooked on both side by side. The difference in build is obvious. The stainless steel makes it feel totally different. I like the two modes on the alpha smoke. Definitely do some reading on them. My brother turned me on to them and after reading about them, I pulled the trigger. Don’t regret at all

Pit Boss , had the 820 deluxe for 3 years and just upgraded to the Austin XL. Can't go wrong for the price.

We had a cookout at a girls house recently for her bday and she had bought a pellet grill recently but never used it. Me and 2 friends took about 45 minutes to figure out to use the damn thing and another hour for it to get hot enough. We looked stupid but none of us ever used one.
I’ll stick with charcoal

Bought the rec tec rt-340 yesterday. All of the reviews and videos where it competes against traegers and other pellet smokers will sell you, it beat them at every turn. It's made with more 304 stainless than any other comparable smoker. Also the on board computer system and app was nicer; displays set temp, actual temp, and temps for both meat probes that are included. I'll update the post when I get it in and put it to use.

No matter the brand, I think most pellet grills have the problem of pushing enough smoke flavor.
The perfect smoke is a light blue haze. If your smoking with a thick white ashy smoke you’re doing it wrong.
