You sound like you've got experience with the GX470. I'm in the market for one too.

Is this a good deal? Seems pretty solid for 2004, 90,000 mile service, just under 98,000 miles for $14,750:

A brand spanking new Nissan Versa would be a better option. $12k brand new and it does nearly 40mpg on the interstate. I wanted to say it earlier but held my tongue, but buying a 10 + year old truck to save money is completely ridiculous.
I disagree on buying a new commuter. What's the insurance cost on that rice burner? financing and all that other dealership bullshite. Used commuter, maybe. But, if buying an older f250 etc. I feel you must be able to fix easy stuff yourself, ball joints, u joints, sensors, etc. or it will eat you up in maintenance. For instance, I have an ext cab and recently had to put new ends on the 2nd door cables so they would open. Oh, batteries, alternator re-build last week, i'm waiting on what it will be this week. Little shite like that, cheap-ish parts but costs mucho time. I personally wouldn't buy an older Dodge Cummins unless I was a certified Dodge mechanic - Dodge trucks are shite but the Cummins engine is great.

But as mentioned, sell the boat or pull out quicker.

2010 Nissan Titan SE 4x4 - $14,900

Anyone see anything obviously wrong with this truck? It's priced below any other truck with similar stats and (according to the owner) has clean title, no frame damage, major system repair/replacement, accident history, etc...

did this exact thing a few years ago. Ended up buying a 2003 f250 4 door lariat with the 7.3 diesel.

187,000 miles on it when i bought it. Paid 11k for it

How many "few years ago" was that? And you had to have known the person selling it. A few years ago would have made it less than 10 years old....Previous owner must have been slightly desperate, or thought he had some issues coming up with it.

I will be honest, i had a Titan. I put 100k miles on it and i never had the first issue. The truck could pull the world and had a ton of power. Only reason i got rid of the truck was the gas mileage. I began traveling a good bit for work and the gas mileage was rough.

I only drive about 10k/year so that's not really an issue.

As as far as it being a Titan, I have read all good things about Titans from a build quality and reliability standpoint. It isn't my first choice admittedly, but if that truck has nothing wrong it's a hell of a deal on a good vehicle.
