Heading to Montana in Nov.
Bought Carhartt last year, but they kept falling down and I can't stand that.

Merino wool. some like the liner sock to help. I think it feels too bulky. too many variables to dictate which is the best.
for example are you walking/stalking, long hike to the stand or not, what type of boot, etc.

You're allergic to wool. I had a buddy (who's a full time ski instructor in the winter) who was allergic to wool. He loved Smartwool, but couldn't wear them. My parents live not to far from the thorlo sock outlet, and I bought him a life time supply.
