Looking to stock a 1+ acre lake in the Baton Rouge area with some bluegill and large mouth bass.
Any recommendations on who to buy the fish from?

save the money and go fishing and just transport some bluegill and bass from another pond
or if you must get it professionally stocked, google "fish stocking farms near baton rouge"

I've bought fish from them in the past. They're based in Oklahoma, but make passes through Louisiana. I just checked their schedule, and they will be in the Baton Rouge area on October 2. Lots of different fish to choose from. Call ahead to make sure they put what you want on the truck.

A good haul from Baton Rouge but American Sportfish in Montgomery AL will give you loads of expertise along with the bass and bluegill you purchase. Especially if you want to learn particulars regarding Northerns, Florida, or a hybrid of the two. I've known people that have made the trip from Texas to Montgomery to visit these guys.

had dunns stock 4 times over twenty five years recently 3 months ago - these fish are growing fast and feed way better than the others (catfish, coppernose and hybrid perch) catfish almost acrobatic 3months in pond went from 4-6 inches to over a foot
