The first call that I grab is my RNT Daisy Cutter. I love it. Especially when in a field. When hunting timber I use my Echo Timber.
I put alot of air into a call and I just like the single reed.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've had several double-reed calls and just couldn't get used to them!

faulk's wood duck call
this call is harder to blow but once you know how you can produce a much better squeal with it than any other wood duck call with the right hand shape and resistance.

Depends on what you want to spend and what your calling ability is currently. If you want to spend less than $30 get a double reed call from Haydels. The DR85 is the classic double reed call and it doesn't take a good caller to sound "ducky".
If you want to spend as much as $150 on a call, get a single reed Rich-n-Tone or a single reed Echo. The RNT Daisy Cutter and/or Original are fantastic calls. However, a single reed is harder to blow and sound correct. Once you "get it" though, the single reed sounds much more authentic.
There is a little company called Death From Below that is making old style Olt Cut-down calls. From what I understand, they are unreal...if you have some calling skill.

I've always liked Rich-N-Tone. But I did grow up in Stuttgart so that is the only kind I have used
