Great question. I am in the same boat. I am looking for my first AR and my budget is around $800 as well. The M & P sounds like a good by but can anybodytell me where is the best place to buy it? Academy sports, GunBroker, where?

I bought one from windham weaponary a few years back and I love it.
I also own several that I bought the lowers, lower parts kits, and either built the uppers or bought complete uppers. They all turned out good.
I would build another one but I'm currently working on my collection of CR guns especially eastern bloc.

That's what I was figuring. Gonna pair it with something similar to that BCM w/ KMR you posted in the other thread.
Should I get my lower sent to Bowies?
