In Ak, the .338 or the .300 win mag are the primary round of choice. The .338 is called the "Alaskan" for a reason.

Terrain and game define what you shoot. It is gonna vary in locations.

.338 is a pretty proficient round.

I have faith that a .338 has more than twice the arse required to kill everything in north america, but I want about 4 times the required arse in case I catch a moose in my trash can.

doesn't 338 hold the record for the longest confirmed sniper kill?

Idk why, but I really want one of these. I have no clue what I'd do with it except for shoot appliances and stuff. I guess I could crack a doe at 400 with it or something.

As long as it can take a menacing brown bear, I am ok.

.338 Lapua. It's a .416 Rigby case necked town to accept a .338 projectile. There are also .338 ultra mags.

.338 lapua (les baer bolt action preferably)

.454 casull (revolver of course)

.577 tyrannosaur

It's because Lapua is so damn fun to say! At least, that's my reason.

I'm in the same situation with the .338 lapua. I really, really want one.

For the long range killing of the zombie horde of course.

But, have y'all priced the rifles or the bullets for those things?
