you’ll end up with a bunch of dead squirrels and just as many live ones in the bird feeder

Get one with a shrouded barrel and baffles. Pellet smacking the squirrel head is the only thing a neighbor will hear. My Benjamin marauder makes a .22 long rifle obsolete for small game

exterminate the squirrel population that keeps messing with her bird feeder.
So she’s putting a hit out on the squirrels so that the birds don’t starve. Interesting
Plot twist: wait for the birds to come to the feeder, and shoot THEM.

Has anyone ever run their Gamo through a chronograph? I did and it was "advertised" at 1000fps and only went 697fps. If it would have been mine I would have a chat with Gamo.

All of those advertised fps ratings are inflated. They use extremely light pba pellets to get those numbers. I don’t have a Gamo, but my Crosman Nitro Venom has an advertised fps of 950. I get about 820-840 fps with the Crosman Premier hollow point 14.3 gr pellets. My Hatsan 125 has a 1000 fps rating, I get about 900-920 with the same pellets.
300 fps bellow the advertised rating is pretty bad, though. Unless you’re shooting a really heavy pellet.
ETA: Both are .22

The guy that was talking bout wacking pigeons I sure hope he knows how good to eat they are. They were the original chickens till chickens were domesticated

I sent my Gamo to a guy in the Carolionas who modified several parts like spring, trigger, and something else. He sent the speed chron chart to show a velocity of 1200 Ft/S.

I love my Diana 34. It’s a tack driver. But it’s only single shot.
I have a friend with a Gamo Coyote PCP that is a lot of fun to shoot. It’s got a 10 shot mad and packs plenty of punch.
